History Book Club – Monday, Dec. 13 – 7 p.m. – Join us for our monthly history book club. This month the discussion will be on  The Candy Bombers: The Untold Story of the Berlin Airlift and America’s Finest Hour by Andrei Cherny.

Grab & Go Bags for adults once-a-month. Stop in to pick up a “Grab and Go Bag” – one per adult. Enjoy simple crafts you can do at home! Supplies are included. First come, first serve, while supplies last. We would love for you to snap a photo of your finished crafts and share with us on our Instagram page.

Storytime:

Tuesdays, Dec. 7, 14, 21, & 28- One class at 10:30 a.m. and one class at 11:15 a.m. Wednesdays, Dec. 8, 15, & 29 – One at 10:30 a.m. and one class at 11:15 a.m. 

Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the same program so please only choose one of the days to come. Space is limited. Be sure to register each adult and child.  Mask wearing is recommended. A take-home craft will be provided.

In-Person Reading with FURever as Friends – Sign up to read to one of our adorable therapy animals.  Each child will be given a ten-fifteen-minute time slot. Find the dates on our virtual calendar and call the library you want to visit to schedule an appointment.

Literacy Buddies – Are you interested in having homework or reading help for your child? Is your teen interested in helping a child? We provide weekly one-on-one help. Call 856-467-0111 if interested. This program is currently a virtual one.

CHILDREN’S TAKE HOME ACTIVITIES 

Take Home:  Read and Do Bags! Patrons can check out one bag per child at the Swedesboro Library. Each bag will contain 2 to 3 library books, a coloring page, and a simple craft you can do with your child at home. Different themes will be available while supplies last. Please be sure to bring your bag to the circulation desk for checkout.

Grab and Go Bags for children – Stop in to pick up a “Grab and Go Bag” – one per child. Enjoy simple crafts you can do at home! There will be a new craft each week. Supplies are included. First come, first serve, while supplies last

TEENS/TWEENS

Teen Writers’ Club – Monday, Dec. 13 – 7 p.m. If you love writing, need new ideas, like sharing ideas/stories/poems, and/or learning new writing techniques and types of writing – this club is for you. We also have started a literary magazine that your works can be included in! Call 856-467-0111 for more information. Go to www.gcls.org to register. Teen/Tween Book Club – Saturday, Dec. 11 – 12:30 p.m. Join us for our monthly book club.  This month we will be discussing Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon.
