Lots of activities are planned for Spring! The Swedesboro-Woolwich Parks & Recreation Committee has been busy planning lots of exciting activities for our community.
We can always use extra sets of hands at our events. Please join us at our next meeting on May 1 at 7 p.m. in the Woolwich Township Municipal Building.
The township is selling discounted tickets to Adventure Aquarium in Camden. To purchase the tickets, please bring cash or a check to the Woolwich Township Municipal Building Office. Adult tickets are $26.50, and child (age 2 to 12) tickets are $18.50. Tickets are valid any day of the week and are good until June 30, 2022.
Celebrate the start of Little League Baseball and Softball with a Pre-Opening Day Movie Night on Friday, April 8 in the Municipal Building at 7 p.m. We will be showing “The Sandlot”. Please note the movie is rated PG.
Water and popcorn will be provided. Bring a blanket if you want to sit on the floor. This is a free event sponsored by Swedesboro-Woolwich Little League. All children and teens must be accompanied by a parent.
Join us to celebrate the Grand Opening of the new Disc Golf Course at Tranquility Trails on April 23 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Free group lessons will be held during this time.
The township is giving out free discs to the first 100 participants at the event. A competitive disc golf tournament, sponsored by the South Jersey Disc Golf Club, is also being planned for the weekend of June 11. More details to come.
Looking to introduce your child to the sport of golf? Plan to attend our golf clinics at Town & Country Golf Links in Woodstown, NJ. We are offering the following clinics: a 4-Week Junior Clinic (45-minute sessions, $100 per student, which will run from 11 to 11:45 am starting on April 30), a 1-Day Junior Clinic (1-1/2 hour session, $50 per student, which will be held on April 23 from 11 am to 12:30 pm), and a 1-Day Junior and Adult Clinic (2-hour session, $80 per family, which will be held on April 23 from 1 to 3 pm).
A junior child is at least 7 years old. To reserve your spot and register, please email Rich Crowell at Town & Country Golf Links at rcrowell@tcgolflinks.com. Your payment is due at the first session. Be sure to check our Facebook page for class date and time changes due to inclement weather.
Another special event is coming! The Parks and Rec Committee is hosting a Mother & Son Bowling Party on Friday, April 29 at Wood Lanes in Woodstown from 6 to 8 p.m. Please check our Facebook page for registration information.
Want to play B-I-N-G-O? We are hosting a Family Bingo Night on Friday, May 6 in the Municipal Building starting at 7 p.m. We will play 10 games and provide light refreshments.
The winning table for each game will get sweet treats. The winner of the final game will take home a $30 gift certificate from Swedesboro Hardware.

Plan to join us at Locke Avenue Fun Day. The event will be held Saturday, May 21 with an inclement weather date of Sunday, May 22.
The day starts with the 08085 Run sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Greater Swedesboro. The race times and link to sign up to participate in one of the many races is on the Kiwanis Club of Greater Swedesboro’s Facebook page.
There will be lots of amusement rides for children of all ages. Unlimited ride wristbands will be on sale April 11 to April 18 at a cost of $25 per wristband, April 19 to May 20 at a cost of $30, and May 21 (Fun Day) at a cost of $35. All wristband sales are available through Ticketleap – please visit our Facebook page for the link to purchase wristbands.
There is lots of entertainment planned on the main stage starting at 1 p.m. Bring your lawn chair and watch performances by Jazz Hands Dance Academy, Swedesboro Performing Arts Academy, Dance Artistry Center, and Dee Dots Dance Academy.
The bands are back, too. Starting at 5:15 p.m., The Deep Blue band will take the stage. They are followed by our event favorite Back Creek band at 7 p.m.
Center Square Tavern will be hosting a beer and wine garden for adults aged 21 and over. The food vendors so far include Potato Patoto, Matty G Dogz, Bondie’s Concession, Kona Ice, Battiato’s Ice Cream, and Mary’s Mobile Diner. We expect more food vendors to register soon.
The event promises to offer entertainment for the entire family starting at 1 p.m. and culminating in a stellar fireworks display at 9 p.m. Vendors may obtain forms from www.woolwichtwp.org on the Parks & Recreation page. We are accepting vendors until May 6. Please check with Shannon Kilpatrick for duplicate vendors.
The Swedesboro-Woolwich Parks & Recreation Committee is back in full planning mode to bring our residents activities throughout 2022. In order to plan events for our community, we need your help. By joining the Committee, you can meet new people, be involved in our community, and have fun.
