WOOLWICH TWP. — The Swedesboro-Woolwich Parks & Recreation Committee has recently canceled two events (Family Bingo and Paint Classes) due to low or no sign-ups for attendees.
Our main form of communication with residents is Facebook. We think many people are not using Facebook any longer. For this reason, the Committee will send out monthly event notifications via email to both Swedesboro and Woolwich residents.
To join the mail list, please go to the Go to Woolwichtwp.org and fill out the form “GET ON OUR MAIL LIST” in the lower left corner of the page. We will continue to post information on Facebook as well.
FUN DAY
The Committee has decided to change Locke Ave Fun Day to Family Fun Day this year. The event will be held on Saturday, May 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Locke Ave Park. There will not be fireworks this year.
The Committee is seeking community groups such as karate and dance schools to perform at the event. If your group is interested in performing, please contact Jackie Williams at jwilliams011@comcast.net.
The updated food and non-food vendor applications will be posted on Woolwich Township website by the end of January. Also, if you have any ideas to how to improve this event, let us know.
We will need more volunteers. If you would like to help or share your ideas, please email Shannon Kilpatrick, SW Parks & Rec Coordinator, at skilpatrick@woolwichtwp.org.
WINGS TIX
We are selling discounted tickets to the Philadelphia Wings Lacrosse game on Saturday, March 25 at the Wells Fargo Center. The Wings will be playing the Halifax Thunderbirds. Ticket prices start at $20.
