MULLICA HILL — Gloucester County 4-H is preparing to host an “Old Tyme Country Celebration” during its annual fair, which is held from Thursday, July 27 through Sunday, July 30 at the Gloucester County 4-H Fairgrounds in Mullica Hill.
The annual Gloucester County 4-H Fair is a four day-long event that has something for the whole family. Daily 4-H shows feature a wide variety of skills our 4-Hers have acquired. You can learn about equestrians demonstrating their horsemanship, our dog club showing agility and obedience, our livestock clubs exhibiting proper care of farm animals, differences in rabbit breeds, the difference between a reptile and an amphibian, and much more.
We also showcase exhibits from some of our clubs, have kids’ activities, Day at the Farm, craft and food vendors, livestock auction, daily local talented musical acts, draft horse pulls (Saturday night), a car show (Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.), tractor pulls (Saturday night), BBQ (Thursday through Saturday) and Jersey Fresh produce.
Hosted by the Gloucester County 4-H Fair Association, the fair draws more than 20,000 people from across the tristate region. The proceeds of the fair go to the programs, facilities, and services that benefit 4-H children throughout the year.
The Gloucester County 4-H program is supported by the Rutgers Cooperative Extension, the Gloucester County Board of Commissioners, private contributors, and the valued efforts of countless volunteers.
A parking donation of $10 per carload provides a pass which is good for all four days of the fair. The Gloucester County 4-H Fairgrounds are at 275 Bridgeton Pike (Rte. 77), Mullica Hill.
