Jan. 2: Officers responded to the Wawa on Center Square Road for a Theft report. It was reported that the suspect received $150 worth of diesel fuel and left without paying.

Jan. 3: Officers responded to the Acme on Center Square Road for a Shoplifting report. It was reported that the suspect paid for one item but left the store without paying for the remainder of the items. It was also reported the suspect also Shoplifted on Dec. 19, 2023 and Jan. 1, 2024. It was reported that on Dec. 19, 2023, the suspect loaded approx. $175 worth of groceries in her cart and left the store without paying. The suspect was identified as a 39-year-old Brooklyn, NY woman after she shoplifted on Jan. 3, 2024 from Acme. She was charged with Shoplifting for the incidents on Dec. 19, 2023, Jan. 1, 2024 and Jan. 3, 2024 and released on a summons with a future court date. The total Shoplifted is approx. $500.

Jan. 3: Officers responded to the Acme on Center Square Road for a Shoplifting report. It was reported that the suspect stole approx. $240 worth of groceries and left the area in his vehicle. Officers located the vehicle on Center Square Road and attempted to stop it. The vehicle began to attempt to elude Officers at a high rate of speed on Rt. 295. Following the Attorney General Guidelines, Officers terminated the pursuit. Officers were able to identify the suspect as a 28-year-old Mantua man. The suspect was charged with Shoplifting and Eluding.

Jan. 9: Officers responded to S&S Auction on Repaupo Station Road for a Theft/Bad Check report. It was reported that a customer provided bad checks totaling approx. $29,000. After investigating, the 70-year-old Prospect Park, PA woman was charged with Theft and Bad Checks.

Jan. 18: Officers took a report from the victim of an Identity Theft. It was reported that an employee at CTDI on Oldman’s Creek Rd. used the victim’s identity to gain employment. As a result of the investigation, Officers located the suspect at CTDI. The 18-year-old Penns Grove woman was arrested and charged with Wrongful Impersonation. She was processed and released on a summons with a future court date.

Jan. 20: Officers responded to the DREAM Park on Rt. 130 for a disabled vehicle. As Officers investigated the disabled vehicle, it was determined the driver was under the influence. In plain view in the vehicle was also CDS. As a result, Officers arrested and charged the 51-year-old Magnolia, DE man with Driving Under the Influence and Possession of CDS. He was released to a third party with a future court date.

Jan. 27: Officers responded to a dispute on Rt. 130. While investigating, Officers determined the driver to be under the influence. As a result, Officers arrested and charged the 32-year-old Chester, Pa man with Driving Under the Influence. He was released to a third party with a future court date.

Jan. 27: Officers responded to the Acme on Center Square Road for a Shoplifting report. It was reported that the suspect filled a cart with approx. $212 worth of items and left the store without paying. The suspect returned later and was placed under arrest for Shoplifting. He was processed and released on a summons with a future court date.

Jan. 29: Officers responded to Swedesboro Bicycles on Village Center Drive for a Fraud report. It was reported that the suspect purchased two bicycles on a credit card, totaling approx. $2,368. It was later determined that the charge was fraudulent. The investigation has been turned over to the Detective Unit.

Jan. 31: Officers responded to the Target warehouse on Creekview Avenue for a Criminal Mischief and Theft report. It was reported that the victim had the rear window of his vehicle destroyed by a rock and approx. $1,000 worth of items were stolen from the vehicle.
