LOGAN TWP. — The Peachwood Recreation Club in Logan Township will be holding sign-ups for the Pirates Swim Team online beginning April 1 at the team website Www.peachwoodpirates.com, and in-person sign-ups on Saturday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Logan Township branch of the Gloucester County Library System.
Swim team participation is open to current club members and to those that are interested in becoming club members. New swimmers should be able to swim one lap of the pool in any stroke and be 18 or younger on June 15.
Head Coach Caitlin Hess, also the Kingsway High School head swim coach, will be returning for her fourth year as coach. For additional information on the team, please check the team website, www.peachwoodpirates.com.
The Pirates Swim Team sponsors swim lessons each summer at the club. Classes are available for pre-school age and school-age children at beginner and intermediate levels. Group classes have no more than six in the class and include eight 25-minute sessions over a two or four week period.
Session times are generally weekdays from 11 a.m. to noon and evenings between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Private lessons are also available. Classes are open to members and non-members.

Peachwood will be hosting three splash dances prior to opening full time for the season. Splash dances for 3rd through 8th graders, complete with a DJ and snacks available for purchase will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 27 and again on Friday, June 10.
On Friday, June 3, younger family members will be included in a family night, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tickets for all splash dances are $5 per child.
