REPAUPO UMC HAPPENINGS

175th Anniversary

Friends and members of the Repaupo United Methodist Church, 770 Paulsboro Road, Logan Township, are invited to join us in celebrating 175 years in God’s service. This friendly country church has been a faithful and steady part of the community and has shared in many important events in so many lives throughout the years.

A special service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 3 p.m. featuring Rev. Jim Hughes, of Jim Hughes Ministries. A catered dinner will be held at 4 p.m. in the church social hall following the service.

Tickets for the dinner are $20 for adults, $6 for children (ages 6-12) and free for ages 5 and under. Reservations may be made by contacting Ruth Hurst at 609-319-4835.  Deadline for tickets is Sept. 11.  Space is limited; therefore, reservations are necessary.

100TH Birthday Celebration

Helen Swain, one of our beloved members of the congregation, celebrated her 100th birthday on Aug. 7. A party was held on Aug. 4 at Rode’s Fireside Restaurant with over 95 guests in attendance.

Helen has been a faithful member for 77 years, holding several positions in the church including administrative council secretary, president and treasurer of the ESG women’s group, sender of birthday, anniversary and get-well cards to untold number of members and their families, and unofficial scrapbook keeper of church events throughout the years, just to name a few.  If she met you for the first time, you can be sure that she would be inviting you to church.

She loves the Lord and has always been and continues to be a faithful servant of God.

“Fruitful Pastures” Ministry

As a mission in our community, our congregation began the “Fruitful Pastures” ministry in January. Our food pantry is open for those in need in the surrounding neighborhoods on the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. It is held in our social hall located behind the church.

“Trunk Or Treat”

On Friday, Oct. 25, we will be hosting our annual “Trunk or Treat” from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the church. It is always a fun event with not only decorated cars and candy outside, but also games and stations with Biblical themes inside our fellowship hall.

Worship Service

Rev. Kellie Heisler leads our Sunday morning Worship Service at 11 a.m., and Adult Sunday School is held each Sunday at 10 a.m. All are welcome to worship with us.
