WOOLWICH TWP. — Longtime Woolwich resident, Jaime Smyth, was recently honored at the Philadelphia Union game as a Positive Playmaker for making a difference in the community where she is an elementary school principal.
Smyth was a teacher in Kensington, PA for almost two decades before becoming a principal in the Marple Newtown School District. The nomination was given to Smyth from Bob Rafferty of Rafferty Subaru.
Smyth celebrated by taking her Unified Arts teachers and Leadership Team to the Union game. She feels her success as a principal is because she is surrounded by wonderful educators that truly care about students and the school community. She is also very appreciative of her school PTO as well as terrific partnerships like Rafferty Subaru.
