Girl Scouts Collecting Water For Soldiers

web girl scoutsSWEDESBORO — Girl Scout Troop 61590 is working on a service project to help our troops. The Red Cross has informed us that cases of 16 ounce bottled water are needed for our troops. The water is given out to the troops that are getting deployed and those that are returning home. The water is also given out at Yellow Ribbon events.

Water donations can be dropped off at the Woolwich Fire House parking lot the day of the parade on Nov. 30. There will have a trailer dedicated for water drop off.  Rain date for the parade will be Dec. 7. If you are unable to make the above dates and would still like to donate, please contact Anna Marie Bittmann (856)467-7994.

Our troop will have a special float in the Swedesboro Christmas parade dedicated to our armed forces troops. The girl scouts would like to thank Home Depot in Mantua and the assistant manager, Tom Billingsley, for donating all the supplies we needed to make our float as well as thank you to Staples in West Deptford and their General Manager Stephanie  Dziczek for donating banners and other supplies.

Thank you for helping support our troops.
