Shop at Main Street Market

MULLICA HILL — It’s summertime and the produce is popping. Help Mullica Hill support our local farmers when Aug. 9 brings us another Main St. Market to downtown.

Don’t miss this family friendly, free event held in the heart of Mullica Hill. Main St. Market was started to help support our farmers, said Hazel Dilsaver owner of MH Events, the company that hosts the market.

It’s a way to bring more customers to them. They can hand out flyers and info about their farms and what they produce and sell. We don’t charge them much to set up, so they can put more back into their farms she added.

One way to help fund the market is the market bags and t-shirts with the logo. The canvas bags are plastic lined and reusable.

Nancy Kowalik Real Estate Group of Mullica Hill and J&D’s Paving, which paves driveways and parking lots, residential and commercial, are our sponsors for the event. They help us help our farmers.

Farm stands, makers and bakers all set up in the church parking lot, while local shops host open house events. Fresh produce, baked goods, hand made goods, dog treats and candy all come to set up.

Live music with Jeremy Milligan will be at Bella Grace Coffee and Cafe on the day of the event. Mullica Hill Floral hosts make your own bouquets in front of their shop, which has become a popular part of the market, and Taylor Vaughn and Farm House Design will have yard games for the kids to enjoy.

We do not bring in food vendors for this event, said Hazel. “We want visitors to come to the restaurants that are currently here and enjoy.” Bella Grace Coffee and Cafe is the newest restaurant in town and Hazel’s newest venture.

Bella Grace offers hot and iced lattes, drip coffee, spritzers and specialty drinks. “We make own syrups from scratch and in house baking. Bella Grace is also a Cafe that offers morning bagels and muffins and afternoon dishes like goat cheese salad or house made soups and chicken salad sandwiches.”

There is outdoor seating as well as plenty of seating inside with space downstairs and two rooms upstairs. They have been opened for seating and retail.

There is plenty of parking available for the Market. Many shops have parking lots behind their shops, or look for the parking signs. The Parsonage, Sisters Fine Jewelry or Mademoiselle Macaron all have parking available.

With only two markets left in the 2025 season it feels like it is flying by, said Hazel. The fall is our busiest time of the year, so we are excited for September and October.

The Mullica Hill Fall Festival Is the biggest event of the year and consists of Fall Fest fun and living history weekend, with the Ghastly tales tour on Saturday night, telling horrible tales and stories.

All proceeds from the ticket sales go to help produce Fall Fest and a donation is made to the GAR Civil War Museum in Philadelphia. They are always taking applications for new vendors. Information is available at mhnjevents.com or text 609-685-6915.
