Wellness Programs Offered for Teens and Adults

WOOLWICH TWP. — Woolwich Township is kicking off 2026 with a renewed focus on wellness and community connection through a new Wednesday Wellness Series designed to help residents turn New Year’s intentions into sustainable healthy habits.

The series will highlight different pillars of wellness each week, giving both teens and adults simple, practical tools to feel better in the months ahead.

Beginning in February, the Township will offer back-to-back wellness sessions on Wednesday evenings, making midweek an intentional time to reset, recharge, and recommit to personal health goals.

A free teen wellness program will run from 5 to 6 p.m. for eight weeks, followed by a six-week adult wellness program from 6 to 7 p.m.

The teen program, offered at no cost to Woolwich residents, is a dedicated teen-track initiative focused on building confidence and healthy routines in a supportive group setting. Each week, teens will explore a different pillar of wellness including physical activity, stress management, sleep, social connections, and digital balance through interactive discussions and engaging activities.

Certified instructors will lead age-appropriate workshops that encourage teens to share ideas, ask questions, and set realistic goals they can carry into the rest of the year. Beyond the weekly sessions, the teen program is also designed to open doors to leadership and service.

After completing the eight-week series, teens will have opportunities to volunteer in their communities, apply to become trainers through a Train-the-Trainer program, launch wellness initiatives in their schools or neighborhoods, and connect with broader teen wellness efforts supported by university faculty. They may also collaborate with teens in other communities or states, giving participants the chance to expand their impact while continuing to build and practice healthy habits.

Adults will have their own dedicated track through “Building Health Together: Mindful Steps,

For a modest fee of $5 for Woolwich residents, the program offers an accessible way to invest in personal health at the start of the year. Participants will explore core wellness pillars such as movement, nutrition, sleep, stress management, social connection, avoidance of risky substances, and overall wellbeing, with a focus on practical strategies that can be integrated into daily schedules.

The adult workshops are led by a certified instructor and emphasize long-term habit building reinforced through mindfulness-based techniques. Sessions will incorporate awareness practices, reflection, and skill-building exercises in a relaxed, encouraging atmosphere. Residents will be able to learn new skills, share experiences, and stay motivated together, fostering a sense of community while working toward their individual wellness goals.

This Wednesday Wellness Series is part of Woolwich Township’s broader commitment to resident wellbeing in 2026, complementing other projects and initiatives that support active, connected lifestyles. By offering programming tailored to both teens and adults, the Township is creating opportunities for entire families to prioritize health, learn new skills, and strengthen their ties to the community.

The first programs kick off in February, and registration for the next session can be found on the Woolwich Township website or social media pages.

Whether a resident’s goal is to move more, manage stress, improve sleep, or simply feel more balanced, the Wednesday Wellness Series provides a welcoming place to start or deepen that journey.
