East Greenwich Senior Citizen’s Upcoming Events

Senior Fair

Residents of East Greenwich are invited to attend a Senior Fair on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Evangelical United Methodist Church at 14 W. Cohawkin Road in Clarksboro.

The event is sponsored by the East Greenwich Senior Citizens Committee. The fair is designed to connect older adults and their families with valuable local services and support programs. Community departments and service organizations will host informational tables and provide one-on-one conversations with knowledgeable representatives.

One feature of this year’s event will be on-site health screenings, including free blood pressure and hearing screenings.  In addition to health-related services, the fair will highlight township programs that promote safety, wellness, independence, and community engagement. Attendees can learn about transportation options, senior programming, volunteer opportunities, and other resources available within the town and the county.

The event is open to all seniors, caregivers, and family members in the East Greenwich community. Admission is free. Residents seeking additional information about attending or participating in the event are encouraged to contact the East Greenwich Senior Citizens Committee at seniors@eastgreenwichnj.com.

Senior Game Days:

East Greenwich Seniors are meeting for some social time and playing games. They have been playing a large variety of games, including card games, board games, tile games, and other standards.

You are welcome to bring a game and see who would like to play it with you or come join in games with others. Come out to meet new friends or reacquaint yourself with someone from the past at this casual friendly get-together.

These Game Days are held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month from 1:30 to 4 p.m. We will meet on March 12 and March 26 this month. Location is at the Evangelical United Methodist Church at 14 W. Cohawkin Rd in Clarksboro.

There is an elevator available and the church encourages it to be used as there are steps down to the game room.

The East Greenwich Senior Men’s Breakfast Club meets on the second Thursday of the month at 9 a.m. This month we are meeting on March 12 at the Swedesboro Diner on Kings Highway in Swedesboro, next to Spirit Dodge. All participants are responsible for paying for their own meal.
