A 9/11 World Trade Center artifacts were brought to Swedesboro on May 11. The two pieces of train rail were escorted from the NJ/NY Port Authority by a group of employees from the Borough of Swedesboro, members of the Swedesboro Council, the Woolwich Fire Company, and a Military Color Guard. At the Woolwich New Jersey Turnpike Exit, the convoy picked up an escort into Swedesboro by the Woolwich Police Chief. The iron arrived at the Woolwich Fire House and a moment of respect was held. The artifacts were then escorted past waiting students outside of the Walter Hill School on Kings Highway. A decision will be made at a later date for an appropriate location to display the pieces.

Each artifact is numbered to itemize where the pieces came from. These pieces were part of the railroad track that ran under the trade center.
