logan policeMay 6: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 28 year old Pennsville man was taken into custody on several outstanding warrants totaling $972. He was processed and released future court dates.

May 8: While investigating a one car motor vehicle crash, police arrested the 22 year old Bridgeport man who was the operator and charged him with DWI, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Reckless Driving and Careless Driving. He was processed and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

May 9: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, police arrested a 27 year old Vineland man, charging him with hindering his own apprehension by providing a false name and date of birth. He was subsequently found to have an outstanding warrant from Buena Vista Regional Court. He was processed and released pending future court dates.

May 10: An employee of Custom Building Products, 2115 High Hill Rd reported that his wedding band and his wallet containing his driver’s license and social security card were stolen from his locker at work.

May 11: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, police arrested an 18 year old Woodstown man for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was processed and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

May 11: Police investigated the theft of an employee’s back pack from the cafeteria at Taylor Farms. Upon reviewing surveillance footage of the area, police arrested a 53 year old Philadelphia woman and charged her with the theft. She was fingerprinted, photographed and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

May 11: At 3:49 a.m., a Hunters Road resident reported seeing three black males, approximately 18 to 25 years old, wearing all black clothing, carrying items past his residence and upon observing him, the males began running away. Although the caller’s vehicles had not been burglarized, several others in the area had. Some of the items the men were carrying were recovered nearby and subsequently returned to their rightful owners.

May 17: A 45 year old Carneys Point resident was arrested at his workplace on Commerce Boulevard and charged with theft and two counts of criminal mischief. The investigation revealed that the man, who gave a false identity to responding officers, had broken into a vending machine inside the building. Approximately $20 in cash was removed from within the machine. In the process, approximately $600 in damage was caused to the machine and an additional $100 in damage was caused when the suspect attempted to disconnect the surveillance camera that captured the incident. When the suspect was processed, his fingerprints revealed his true identity and the fact that he was previously deported to Mexico. Notification was made to Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers as well as the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office. The defendant was lodged in the Salem County Jail in default of $2,500 full cash bail.

May 20: Incident to an unwanted person complaint, a 23 year old Logan Township man was arrested on several outstanding warrants totaling $3,275 bail. He was processed and remanded to the Salem County Jail in default of bail.

May 21: A 34 year old Blue Bell, PA man was arrested and charged with theft after he removed scrap metal valued at an estimated $500 from SMS Rail Lines, 513 Sharptown Road. He was fingerprinted, photographed and released pending Grand Jury action.

May 23: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, a 45 year old Pennsville man was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Springfield Township. Same posted $90 toward the $750 bail and was released with a new court date.

May 23: While investigating a suspicious person on Ferry Road, police arrested a 20 year old East Greenwich man for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was fingerprinted, photographed and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

May 24: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, police arrested a 48 year old Hamilton Township man on several outstanding warrants totaling $847 bail. He was processed and released ROR pending new court dates.

May 24: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, police arrested a 58 year old Woolwich Township man on numerous outstanding warrants totaling $5,200. He was processed and remanded to the custody of the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department for transport to the Salem County Jail.

May 24: An 18 year old Paulsboro man surrendered himself to Logan Township Police on an outstanding $1,500 traffic warrant. Same was processed and remanded to the Salem County Jail in default of bail.

May 26: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, police arrested a 21 Sicklerville man on a No Bail Larceny warrant out of the Salem County Prosecutor’s Office. He was processed and subsequently remanded to the Salem County Jail to await trial.

May 27: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, police arrested a 37 year old Port Norris man on two outstanding warrants totaling $1,601. He was processed and turned over to the New Jersey State Police for transportation to the Cumberland County Jail.

May 28: Police responded to a Repaupo Station Road residence for a report of a dispute. After the ensuing investigation, a 25 year old Logan Township woman was arrested for simple assault and several outstanding warrants totaling $2,420. She was processed, served with the assault charge and released on her own recognizance on the warrants with new court dates in Camden City and Paulsboro.

May 30: A Stone Henge Drive resident reported that her wallet had been lost/stolen after being used at the ACME. Subsequently someone attempted to use her credit card in Philadelphia. Her bank caught the suspicious account activity and the victim did not incur any monetary loss.

May 31: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, police arrested a 25 year old East Greenwich man on an outstanding Logan Township Municipal Court warrant in the amount of $1,500. He was processed, posted $150 towards the bail and was released pending a new court date.

June 1: Police were dispatched to Taylor Farms, 406 Heron Drive, for a report of a fight in the parking lot. Upon patrols arrival, there were two males still actively engaged in a physical confrontation. The combatants were separated and taken into custody. A 28 year old Landsdowne man and a 43 year old Camden man were each charged with Disorderly Conduct – Mutual Fighting. Both were fingerprinted, photographed and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

June 2: Incident to a motor vehicle stop, police arrested a 61 year old National Park woman for DWI. She was transported to headquarters where she was processed and served several motor vehicle summonses. She was then released to her husband in accordance with NJ Attorney General’s Guidelines.

June 5: While investigating a motor vehicle crash on Route 322, police located the suspect vehicle and, with emergency lights activated pulled up behind the vehicle. As the officer approached, the operator started the vehicle, put it in drive and sped away. A brief pursuit ensued and a short distance away, the suspect vehicle again came to a stop. Once again, as the officer approached the driver sped away. Ultimately the driver was apprehended with the assistance of Woolwich Township Police. As a result of the investigation the driver, Angelo Russell, 50, of Philadelphia, was charged with 3rd Degree Eluding Police Creating a Risk of Injury, DWI, Refusal to Submit to Breath Testing, Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle, Reckless Driving and Speeding. He was processed and released pending Grand Jury action.

June 5: While investigating a suspicious person complaint, police arrested the individual, a 31 year old Logan Township man, on two outstanding warrants from Cinnaminson Twp. in the amount of $3,000. He was processed and turned over to Cinnaminson Police in default of bail.

June 7: In South Plainfield, NJ State Police arrested a 51 year old Homestead Florida man, Emilce Rodriguez-Aguilar, on an outstanding warrant. Incident to that warrant arrest, an investigation resulted in criminal charges being filed against Rodriquez-Aguilar for a February theft from Lakeside Distribution in Logan Township. He was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking and Theft by Deception with bail set at $75,000 full cash. He is also a suspect in several other thefts throughout the country and the investigation into those thefts continues. Mr. Rodriguez-Aguilar was lodged in the Middlesex County Jail awaiting Grand Jury Action.

June 9: Police responded to a disturbance at the Marriot, 3 Pureland Dr. Upon arrival it was determined that an assault had taken place but both individuals had left the area prior to police arrival. Upon conclusion of the subsequent investigation, a 28 year old West Deptford man was arrested and charged with Assault and Hindering Apprehension by providing false information.  He was processed and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.

June 11: While investigating a suspicious motor vehicle at Wawa, police determined that the men involved had stolen metal and machinery form Aryzta Bakery, 11 Technology Drive. Two Pennsville men were arrested as a result. They were both charged with theft, processed at headquarters and released pending Grand Jury action. It should be noted that the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be pending.

June 11: A 2012 Utility refrigerated trailer was stolen from a Heron Drive business. Surveillance footage captured the theft but there was not enough detail to identify the vehicle that removed it, nor the driver.

June 12: While on patrol in the area of Oldmans Creek Rd near Heron Drive, police located a vehicle off the roadway. The driver, a 39 year old Logan Township woman was taken into custody for DWI. She was transported to headquarters where she was processed and released pending a date in Logan Township Municipal Court.
