BERRIOS – Pablo Barrios, age 80, of Swedesboro passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 26. Born in Puerto Rico, Pablo had resided in Swedesboro for the past 51 years. A devoted and loving family man, a strong community leader and a believer in Swedesboro, he owned and operated Berrios and Son Market in Swedesboro, was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish where he was a Deacon for the past 15 years. Pablo was the first Eucharistic Minister at the former St. Joseph’s Parish, was instrumental in starting the Mass being said in Spanish and the Outdoor Stations of the Cross on Good Friday. He also founded the former Holy Name Society, was a member of St. Francis Council, K of C., and for the past 30 years was the Director of the Cursillo School for the Dioceses of Camden.
Pablo is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Ana, his children, Mercedes, Carlos and wife Bonnie. His granddaughter, Jenna Berrios. Sisters, Gloria and Maria V. Berrios. Also many nieces and nephews that he cared for as his own.

BUECKER – Robert “Lee” Buecker, age 74 years, of Mickleton died Nov. 27 in Inspira Hospital, Woodbury, surrounded by his family.
Lee was born in Camden and raised in Haddon Heights where he graduated from high school in 1957. He has lived in Mickleton for over 20 years. Lee was a veteran serving in the US Navy during the Vietnam era. He retired as Credit Manager from Campbell Soup Company in 2004. Lee was a Past President of the Cherry Hill Chapter of Parents Without Partners. His passion, though, was Little League Baseball. In 1950 his Little League Team won the N.J. State Championship and Lee played baseball throughout high school and college. Lee was a member of the Pinelands Umpire Association and has umpired games for 30 years. He also enjoyed basketball, dancing and collecting baseball cards.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Snyder Buecker (nee Shaver) of Mickleton; his children, Matt and Teresa Buecker of Melbourne, FL; Mark and Allison Buecker of Fayetteville, NJ; Amy Simmons of Pompano Beach, FL; Kim and Pat Devers of Gibbstown; 8 grandchildren and his sisters, Beth Tomlin and Judith Buecker.

SANDY – John Lawrence Sandy, Jr., 49, of Dillsburg, formerly of Mickleton, passed away Nov. 30.
Born April 2, 1964 in Woodbury, he was the son of John Lawrence and Laure Fay (Stevenson) Sandy, Sr. and step son of Christine Sandy. John was a member of the Wago Club – Manchester York who enjoyed hunting.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Lolly Stevenson and Lester Sandy.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Lynn M. Sandy; daughter, Victoria C. Sandy; stepchildren Jason, Jonathan, Scott, and Amanda Sockwell; brothers, Ron, Gary, and Justin Sandy; sisters, Traci Dobzanski, Laura and Ellen Sandy; grandmothers, Marg Stevenson, and Evelyn Bauer.

DAVIDSON – Ralph Davidson, 82. His Rode’s delivery route earned him more than a paycheck. As a favor to her father, he regularly gave Betty Monahon a ride home. Ralph not only became a husband on his wedding day, he also became a father, adopting her three daughters. He was always tinkering, building dollhouses and furniture, putting together jigsaw puzzles and model cars. When his car ashtray was dirty, it was time to call John Gaunt for another. Retirement found him moving to Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty, three daughters, Margie Sammons, Edna Hawk and Elizabeth Zubert, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

DIEHL – Ralph J. Diehl, age 70 of Catawissa, PA died Dec. 5. Born in Delaware County, PA, he had been a resident of Logan Township since 1977. Ralph served in the US Marine Corp and was a retired UPS driver. He enjoyed sports and watching NASCAR.
Husband of the late Diane (nee Wingate), he is survived by two daughters Kristen M. Lisle (Scott), Heather D. Diehl (Walt), two sons, Jason R., Michael C., 6 grandchildren, Madeleine, Ryan, Julia, Evan, Giselle, Luca, one sister Jean Nagle, two brothers William Diehl (Maureen), Paul Diehl (Eric), many nieces and nephews. PIKE – Catherine S. Pike (nee Alloway), age 62, died suddenly on Dec. 10. Catherine was a longtime resident of Clarksboro, who was employed by EMD Janitorial in Gibbstown. Catherine loved having her yard sale and enjoyed all her customers. She loved spending time with her family. Catherine was a very loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She touched many hearts and will be greatly missed.

LEONE – Russell A. Leone, 11, of Logan Township, died after an ATV accident on Dec. 10. Though he was most known as a tough kid, you’d never forget his hug. No grass grew under his cleats; Russell was a boy in motion. Handing him the ball was most likely good for 6. His room full of trophies was testament to his skill in a singlet and head gear. Some of his more cerebral pursuits included playing the piano and trumpet; he brought home perfect grades. He once played the piano on stage at Rowan University with the Olde Town Music group. Russell is the beloved son of April and Russell; greatest brother of Billy, June, and Joey; dear Grandson of Frank and Carol Mongiello, and Russell and Muriel Leone, and Great-grandson of Barbara Cameli and Mary Mongiello. CLARK – Danielle Denise Clark (nee Gegan) age 45, of Mullica Hill died Dec. 14 at her home. Born in Fort Walton Beach, FL, she graduated from Shawnee High School in 1968. She was a graduate of the Katharine Gibbs School and was employed by Archer and Greiner in Haddonfield. Danielle was a very strong, young woman.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Scott Clark and was a loving mother to Zachary, Madison, and Megan. Also survived by her parents, John and Jessica Stevens, brothers Gary and Christopher Gegan, sisters Alison McGough and Pamela Muth.

GRASSO – Lena A. Grasso. She was that great woman behind the successful man. Lena was her late husband, Joe’s right hand man. Her day started at 5 a.m. and ended well after dark. He got the produce and customers; Lena kept everything humming as company treasurer and office manager. She did the hiring, firing, payroll, bookkeeping and even fed workers roast beef sandwiches when the packing house ran late. Somehow she found the time to be a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, make dance and Halloween costumes, be a band mom, can fruits and vegetables, make jams, jellies and pickles. Her hands were always busy. If she was watching TV she’d be crocheting. On summer Saturdays Lena would pack lunches and her daughters into the station wagon and head to the beach. Later years found her traveling to Italy, Bermuda and California; her daughters were still in tow.
You’d be hard pressed to get Lena angry but it was possible. An IRS agent found this out when she swept him out of her office, literally, with a broom.
Lena met Joseph on a blind date arranged by their parents. Their 67 year union was blessed with four daughters: Rosemary Miller, Verna DeWitt, Lorraine DiBona, Janet Bufano; eight grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Services were held at the Daley Life Celebration Studio, Swedesboro. Burial St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Swedesboro.

MADEN – Kay Marie Maden, 43, formerly of Bridgeport, passed away Dec. 18 in Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, due to cancer.
She is the beloved mother of Thomas Haddock, daughter of Kathleen McCann and sister of Richard Maden, Jr.
Kay attended St. Michael’s School, graduated from Paulsboro High School, and Gloucester County Vo-Tech. She worked at the Mayfair Diner in Philadelphia.
