Mark R. Eskey, 24, of Logan Township, a graduate of Kingsway Regional High School, is awaiting the beginning of his hands-on Nuclear Power Prototype training, and is in the process of applying to the Navy’s STA-21 Officer Training Program. Eskey joined the US Navy in 2012 after attending Rutgers University in New Brunswick where he focused on a degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. After enlisting he achieved the highest score possible on the military’s ASVAB entrance exam and was accepted into the Navy’s Nuclear Power program. Entering boot camp in March of 2013, Mark excelled by attaining a division leadership position. After completing boot camp, he was transferred to Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Charleston, SC where he served as the Class Leader in Nuclear Power A-School, helping to maintain the title of Honor Class for six consecutive weeks while earning the second highest GPA in his class, graduating with a 3.73. Eskey graduated as Sectional Honorman with a GPA of 3.82, placing him eighth in a class which started with over 360 students and ended with approximately than 320.
