SWEDESBRO — 2014 proved to be a banner year for King’ Things volunteers due the efforts of many dedicated people. It would be impossible to identify each and every one of these volunteers, but in the next couple of paragraphs we hope to do our best to list those most responsible for our success.
Our five local churches placed giving trees at their locations and their members provided Christmas gifts. They are Bethesda United Methodist, First Baptist, First Presbyterian, St.Clare of Assisi Parish and Trinity Episcopal.
We are grateful to the students at the Goddard School, Logan Elementary, Stratton Elementary, Harker Elementary, Lumina Budds Nursery, Faith Formation at St. Clare of Assisi headed by Patricia Patterson.
We thank the Rev. Dan Sooy, Bethesda Methodist, Fr. Frank St.Amour Trinity Episcopal, Fr. Dave Grover at St. Clare of Assisi and his assistant Nancy Dwyer who was responsible for scheduling the Church hall which was used to gather, sort and distribute the food and gifts.
In addition, we would like to thank the following: Barbara Stecker of The Latter Day Saints, Boy & Girl Scouts, Brownies, Maggie Brace and Mary Beth Rambler, Coordinator of the Christmas Giving Campaign.
We would be remiss if we did not mention our friends at Lacas Coffee Company for the boxes, Swedesboro Diner who supplied us with many vouchers as needed.
Again we apologize if we have missed any our dedicated volunteers. We thank one and all for their time and talent.
In closing we remind you that King’s Things operates on a 52 week schedule and continues to be available to those in our community who might need our help.
A Happy New Year to All
