SWEDESBORO — passMORE DANCE scored major wins at a recent Headliners competition in Lawrenceville, NJ.
Mikey Mallozzi of Woolwich Township, was first Overall Solo winner for his number “Life is a Highway.” He paired with Adie Arcari of Pilesgrove to win first overall in the duet division with their number, “Hit the Road, Jack.”
Adie, Mikey, Daija Coleman of Logan Township, Kathryn Milligan of Alloway, and Sophia Chiari of Hopewell won first Overall with their small group tap number, “Sleepover.” The junior duet of Elli and Emmi Caunitis of Pilesgrove, entitled, “Sisters,” placed second overall. The senior duet of Christina Mallozzi of Woolwich Township and Tori Scull of Mullica Hill placed second with “Wildest Dreams.”
The junior large group, “Battle,” was fourth overall. Dancers include Pilesgrove residents: Adie and Ella Arcari, Elli Caunitis, Emmi Caunitis, Molly Lodge, Alexis Marini, Mackenzie Rattigan; Woolwich residents, Olivia Barnhardt, Christina and Michael Mallozzi, Madison Meredith, Lauren Perry, Kyleigh Price; Mullica Hill resident, Tori Scull, Mickleton resident, Gabrielle Allen, and Logan resident Daija Coleman.
The teen Large Group, “Miss Independent,” was fifth overall and contains: Sophia Chiari, Kathryn Milligan, Ella Arcari, Elli and Emmi Caunitis, Molly Lodge, Alexis Marini, Mackenzie Rattigan, Olivia Barnhardt, Christina Mallozzi, Madison Meredith, Kyleigh Price, Tori Scull, and Daija Coleman.
Alexis Marini, performing “Phresh off the Runway” was the tenth Overall Winner in Teen Solo’s. Christina Mallozzi was ninth Overall Winner in Senior Solo’s with her routine, “Dangerous.”
They also received several special awards. “Battle” won the “Talking Tap Award,” and “Bring ‘Em Out,” won the “Simply Swag,” award. Dancers in this group include: Alloway resident Jaysen Bechtold, Ella Arcari, Elli and Emmi Caunitis, Molly Lodge, Alexis Marini, Madison Meredith, and Mackenzie Rattigan.
“Miss Independent” won the “Shading” award for their levels of sound.
They were especially honored to be nominated to represent the United States in the International Dance Organization World Competition for three different numbers: “Bugaboo,” (Tori Scull, Christina Mallozzi, Mackenzie Rattigan, Kyleigh Price, Madison Meredith); “Miss Independent,” and soloist Christina Mallozzi. The World Finals are in Germany in December.
