ENIORS OF THE MONTH FOR MAY
EMILY MALONE, daughter of Ed and Cheryl Malone of Mount Royal.
School Activities: National Honor Society, TV Media Production Club, Interact, Yearbook staff member, and Kingsway Girls’ Soccer (managed senior year).
Out of School Activities: University of the Arts Pre-College Saturday classes (documentary film), Moore College Young Artist workshop (portfolio preparation course), and work doing video production at the Gloucester County Community Church.
Honors/Awards: Distinguished Honors – National letters about Literature Writing Competition, First Place in Kingsway’s Art Show in Photography Category, and Third Place in Kingsway’s Art Show in Drawing Category.
Future Plans: Emily plans to study film production, specifically screen writing, at Montclair State University.
JASMINE ZHANG, daughter of: Mother – Yan Yun Chen and Father – Zeng Feng Zhang of Clarksboro.
School Activities: National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, World Language National Honor Society, Key Club, S.A.D.D. (secretary), Habitat for Humanity, Yearbook, S.T.A.F.F. (treasurer), and Interact.
Out of School Activities: 2015-2016 secretary of the American Red Cross Youth Council, volunteers at Chinatown Learning Center, art and Mandarin Chinese classes, and volunteers at Inspira Medical Center.
Honors/Awards: Consistently named to the Honor Roll/Superintendent’s List, Dragon Art Award (First Place), Saint Francis Veterinary Center post contest winner, Perfect Attendance Award, scholarship recipient to attend pre-college at the University of the Arts, as well as attend summer college at Caldwell University.
Future Plans: Jasmine plans to attend New York University in the fall, where she will spend her first year in Florence, Italy. She will probably major in global public health and minor in digital art and design.
SENIORS OF THE MONTH FOR JUNE
ERIN MALONE, daughter of Ed and Cheryl Malone of Mount Royal.
School Activities: National Honor Society in Junior and Senior year, Student Council Executive Board, Student Ambassador, Interact, and Yearbook.
Out of School Activities: Moore College of Art and Design Young Artists workshops, babysitting, tutoring in Pre-Algebra and participates in TOP Soccer, which helps children with disabilities learn how to play soccer.
Future Plans: Erin plans to go to Kean University for interior design as her major and business as a minor.
ADITHYA MURALIDHARAN, son of Chakravarthi Muralidharan and Deepa Srinivasavaradan of Woolwich Township.
School Activities: National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society, Student Council, Foreign Language Club, Circle of Friends, Project Unify, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Cricket Club, School Play (construction), and volunteers at Martell’s Corner.
Out of School Activities: Karate, Hobo Band, and volunteers at Temple.
Honors/Awards: Recognition at Kingsway Board of Education Meeting and Proclamation from Mayor of Woolwich Township for Ensuring Safety of the School Bus, and keynote speaker at DARE to Dream Conference.
Future Plans: Adithya plans to graduate with a degree in liberal arts and possibly pursue a career in mass media and communications.
