Borrie’s Changes Ownership

borries webGIBBSTOWN — Borrie’s Outdoor Power equipment, located in Gibbstown, has had a change in ownership.

The company, which sells lawn mowers, snow blowers, chain saws and more, was started in 1970 by Craig Borrie, of Woolwich Township, in his parents’ workshop.  Besides working on mowers and other equipment, he went to college, worked at a locker plant and then went to refrigeration school.

He continued to fix appliances until 1980 when he built the shop at the current Borrie’s location and held his grand opening. His customers were mainly homeowners and farmers at this time as there were not many landscapers, yet.

Craig continued to grow his business for the next 35 years before beginning to plan his retirement. He added brands to his lineup, built a loyal customer base, hired great employees and raised his children while growing this business. He provided fantastic and skilled service to his customers.

In February of 2016, Craig sold his business to Patrick and Lauren Dunn. With landscaping backgrounds, the Dunn’s understand the needs of homeowners and landscapers when it comes to outdoor power equipment.

While much of what Craig has created has remained the same with the new owners, a lot of improvements have also been made.  The showroom has been expanded for better flow and product display, additional mechanics have been added for quicker turnaround time on repairs, product lines have been expanded to meet your every need, all brands of equipment are serviced and parts orders are expedited.

Borrie’s is holding a celebration of Craig’s retirement on Feb. 23.  It will be an open house from 6 to 9 p.m. at Rode’s Fireside with complimentary food and drinks.  If you would like to wish Craig well in his retirement, please RSVP to Borrie’s at (856) 423-6499 or
