Page Turner’s Adult Book Club – Tuesday, March 29 – 7 p.m. Join us for our monthly book club.This month’s selection will be The Girl with Stars in Her Eyes by Xio Axelrod. Due to social distancing requirements, space is limited. Mask-wearing is required. Be sure to register at www.gcls.org.

Readers Roundtable 

Weekly on Thursday afternoons: Thursdays, March 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31 – 4 p.m.

Grab & Go Bags for adults once-a-month. Stop in to pick up a “Grab and Go Bag” – one per adult. Enjoy simple crafts you can do at home. Supplies are included. First come, first serve, while supplies last. We would love for you to snap a photo of your finished crafts club is for you. We also have started a literary magazine that your works can be included in! Teen/Tween Book Club – Saturday, March 5 – 12:30 p.m. Join us for our monthly book club. This month we will be discussing White Bird by R.J. Origami Fun – Monday, March 28 – 4:30 p.m. Join us in learning how to make a few simple origami crafts. Space is limited due to social distancing. Mask wearing is required. Be sure to register!

March’s Challenge – Ages 4-12 Complete a fun bingo board using a picture book. Get bingo, get a prize.

Storytime:

Tuesdays, March 8, 15, 22 & 29 – One class at 10:30 a.m. and one class at 11:15 a.m.  

Wednesdays, March 9, 16, 23 & 30 – One at 10:30 a.m. and one class at 11:15 a.m. 

Sesame Street – A Special Storytime! – In lieu of our regular themed storytimes, we will be finishing our 6-week special Sesame Street storytime on Tuesdays, March 8 & 22 and Wednesdays, March 9 & 23.

The themes for these weeks are Don’t give up, Volunteering, and Be a good neighbor.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the same program so please only choose one of the days and one of those times to come. Space is limited. Be sure to register each adult and child. Mask wearing is required. A take-home craft will be provided.

A Special Storytime with Miss TerriThursday, March 31 – 10:30 a.m. & 11:15 a.m. Please choose one of the times to come. We have celebrated NJ Makers Day and will be partnering with Longwood Gardens for a community Read – in light of these two events, Terri is providing a special storytime to share the children’s community read choice and to provide a special craft to remind us of the importance of trees! Space is very limited. Two classes will be provided. Mask-wearing is required. We are excited to be bringing back our music program, but on a smaller scale. Don’t miss it:

Toddler Music Time – “Sing, Dance, & Play” – Thursday, March 10. One class will be at 10:30 am and the other at 11:15 a.m. Please only sign up for one class. Mask-wearing is now required.  Space is very limited. Be sure to register each adult and child. Toddler Music Time will be the 2nd Thursdays of each month. Go to www.gcls.org to register.

Baby Music Time – “Sing, Dance, & Play” – Thursday, March 24.  One class will be at 10:30 a.m. and the other at 11:15 a.m. Please only sign up for one class. Mask-wearing is required. Space is very limited. Be sure to register each adult and child. In-Person Reading with FURever as Friends – Sign up to read to one of our adorable therapy animals. Each child will be given a ten-fifteen-minute time slot. Find the dates on our virtual calendar and call the library you want to visit to schedule an appointment. A mask is required.

Literacy Buddies – Are you interested in having homework or reading help for your child? Is your teen interested in helping a child? We provide weekly one-on-one help. Call 856-467-0111 if interested. This program is currently virtual.

CHILDREN’S TAKE HOME ACTIVITIES 

Take Home:  Read and Do Bags! Patrons can check out one bag per child at the Swedesboro Library. Each bag will contain 2 to 3 library books, a coloring page, and a simple craft you can do with your child at home. Different themes will be available while supplies last. Please be sure to bring your bag to the circulation desk for checkout.

Join us for NJ Makers Day! – Saturday, March 26 – 11 a.mChoose one craft you would like to do and register. The craft choices are making a wooden birdhouse, making a small clay bird bath or birdhouse (that will later be fired), making a felted bird from wool, constructing a mason bee house, or making a nest starter with grapevine and raw wool. Space is very limited. Mask-wearing is required. Go to www.gcls.org to register.
