Food Drive To Benefit Angel’s Community Outreach

CLARKSBORO — Unlike prior food drives hosted by St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Clarksboro, September’s Contactless Food will benefit The Angel’s Community Outreach in Pitman rather than The Blessing Store in Clarksboro.

The Contactless Food Drive will take place at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 304 Kings Highway, Clarksboro on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

Since 2009, The Angels Community Outreach organization has been providing clothing, food, back packs, Christmas toys, Easter baskets and Baby Bundles to needy families throughout Gloucester County.

This past month, for the first time in its history, they were forced to close their food pantry as their shelves were completely empty. As a result, many families who depend on them to provide food for their tables were forced to seek help elsewhere.

With full shelves in The Blessing Store, it was decided to divert the food received at the September Contactless Food Drive to The Angel’s Community Outreach to help them get back on their feet once again.

Your donations this month will enrich our circle of support to neighbors in surrounding communities that need help. We encourage you to give as generously as you can.

If you would like to help The Angel’s Community Outreach program on your own, they can be reached at 334. S Broadway in Pitman. Their number is 856-625-8652.
