SWEDESBORO — The Annual Swedesboro Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 1 p.m., rain or shine. The parade will begin at the Walter Hill Elementary School and travel down Kings Highway to Church Street.
The parade will feature a variety of community and business sponsored floats, performing groups, holiday characters, and musical bands.
The Parade Grand Marshall will be the Woolwich Fire Company in honor of their 125th Anniversary in 2023.
Along the route, post cards will be handed out to parade spectators to vote for their favorite entries in the parade. The post card back will feature coupons to area businesses to encourage spectators to stay and shop and eat in the area.
Parade participation is nearly full, but there still may be room to include your business or group. The Greater Swedesboro Business Association, organizer and sponsor for the parade each year, is looking for groups with floats to add to the parade line up. If you would like to join in on the fun, text 856-956-9736 or email spiritdan@live.com.
There are also plenty of opportunities to volunteer. People are needed to carry banners, direct groups at the beginning and the end of the parade, and to direct spectators and groups along the parade route.
There are 1,000 parade participants and any help is greatly appreciated. Text 856-956-9736 or email spiritdan@live.com for more information.
