KINGSWAY SENIORS OF THE MONTH FOR JANUARY

Olivia Lewin, daughter of Thomas and Tricia Lewin of Mickleton.

School Activities:  Girls Lacrosse, SIA/SURE Club, ATSA Club, Morgan’s Message Ambassador, National Honor Society President, National Art Honor Society member, Kingsway Student Ambassador, and was a Kingsway Girls Wrestling manager.

Out of School Activities:  Olivia played club lacrosse for numerous years as well as played for two intramural teams with her friends during the winter. She babysits every day after school and referees for South Jersey Youth Lacrosse during the spring. Olivia loves to stay physically active during the off-season, so she enjoys going to the gym during the week and hot yoga on the weekend!

Honors/Awards:  President of National Honor Society as well as being a general member of the National Art Honor Society, Superintendent’s List every year of high school, and was elected to be on the Homecoming Court. When Olivia played field hockey her freshman year, she received most improved player.

Future Plans: Olivia plans to attend a college for Pre-Physician’s Assistant or biology as her undergraduate major with a minor in Spanish in Public Health. After that, she hopes to get into a graduate school to earn a Master’s degree in order to become a Physician’s Assistant.

School Activities:  Marching Band, Track & Field, Select Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band, Indoor Percussion, Kingsway Live, STEM Academy, Student Ambassador, Asian Cultures Club, Cultures Club, Math Club, Tenor-Bass Club, and ASL Club.

Out of School Activities: Reading, Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps, Speedcubing, Nemours Children’s Health Hospital volunteer, and volunteers at South Jersey Regional Animal Shelter (SJRAS).

Honors/Awards:  Marching Band – Head Drum Major (2022), Woodwind Captain and Saxophone Section Leader (2021), Low Sax Section Leader (2020), Tri-M Music Honor Society Vice President, National Honor Society, Academy Service Learning First Place Joint Project (2021-2022), AP Scholar with Distinction, College Board National Rural and Small Town Recognition, National Merit Scholarship Letter of Commendation, and Superintendent’s List.

Future Plans: Jason hopes to attend college as a mathematics major in hopes of becoming a professor and working in a company specializing in technological innovation.
