SCHOOL SUPPLY COLLECTION THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER

SWEDESBORO — Summer is a great time to find promotions and good deals on the much-needed items that are essential school supplies for children beginning September.

Haley Blair, a rising junior at Kingsway High School, is asking for the community to grab something extra while out shopping this summer. Please look for the “School Supply Collection” boxes this summer in participating locations.

Two main drop-off locations will be the Swedesboro Library during summer library hours (1442 Kings Highway, Swedesboro), and Bethesda United Methodist Church every Sunday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (1433 Kings Hwy, Swedesboro), but more locations will be available.

Students who are in need of school supplies are disadvantaged in an academic environment. By helping provide any of the following items, these students are given the opportunity to succeed.

Some examples of supplies that would be helpful are pens, pencils, paper, crayons, markers, erasers, folders, notebooks, backpacks, or any other back-to-school needs such as tissues or small hand sanitizers.

Haley Blair advocates, “There are many children and families in our own community who could benefit from extra assistance. While everyone is happy that summer is here, being on the lookout for great deals will provide more supplies for less money, helping as many families as possible… Thank you for any contributions.”
