Pink Clover Plans events in October

SWEDESBORO — The Colleen Sorbello Breast Cancer Foundation’s Pink Clover will be holding some events in October is this area.

Founded in 2017 after Colleen’s passing, it was her vision to provide immediate comfort to women battling breast cancer. All proceeds go to the mission and has enabled them to provide direct grants to women who are financially distressed while fighting for their lives, typically under or uninsured.

The Pink Clover Foundation has raised much of the money through fundraisers and donations from businesses in our area. And this year, the group will be doing something right here in Swedesboro.

For the month of October, 42 lamp posts along Kings Highway in Swedesboro will be wrapped in pink LED lights along with 10 foot banners at each end of town for breast cancer awareness month along with a QR code.

The group had a booth at Swedesboro Day and on Oct. 11, Pink Clover will be at the Homecoming game, Clearview versus Kingsway. Two 20 foot tents will be building comfort kits. At third quarter, on the field, there will be a presentation of a check to a local woman in need.

The group will have signage, and the QR code informing attendees what’s happening in Swedesboro to support the cause. The QR will direct viewers to a landing page dedicated to Swedesboro and the businesses who are doing something to raise money for breast cancer patients.

The page will have a photo or logo for the business with the promotion or activity they are doing, the photo/logo when clicked will take the viewer to the business website.
