Baby Storytime: Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. Toddlers, babies, and their adults enjoy songs, rhymes, movement, and stories as we build developmentally-appropriate early literacy and kindergarten readiness skills. Best for ages 0-2. Please register.  

Storytime: Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. Enjoy stories, rhymes, songs, and a craft, as we build developmentally-appropriate early literacy and kindergarten readiness skills. Best for ages 2-5. Please register.

Music & Movement: Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Dance, sing and play with your little one! Ages 0-6. Please register.

STEAM Tuesdays: Tuesday, May 13 at 4 p.m. Fun projects based on science, technology, engineering or math. Please register. 

Homeschool Hangout: Friday, May 16 at 10:30 a.m. We will be playing Currency Conga! This game is all about improving their currency recognition! We will explore what coins look like and talk about what each one is worth! We will be using a fun spinner to test the knowledge of everyone! This activity was provided through the Thinking Money For Kids grant which was received from ALA (American Library Association) and FINRA (Investor Education Foundation. Children will play games that teach money skills and engage them with financial topics — like saving, spending, sharing, and budgeting — in a way that is both meaningful and fun.  Be sure to register. Best for Ages 5-12.

Family Crafting Time: Saturday, May 11 at 11 a.m. Make a craft and take it home with you! Please register.

Community Helper’s Club: Tuesday, May 27 at 4 p.m. This monthly meeting is to put like-minded tweens and teens together to discuss how to make our communities a better place.  We will be talking about topics such as going green, donating supplies or even helping the elderly. Each month will have a new issue so you can bounce ideas off of each other. Ages 9-17. Please register as space is limited.

Smash Book Crew: Wednesday, May 28th at 4pm. Smash books are a way to express yourself. There is no rhyme or reason. You can write, paint, color, attach photos, flowers, ribbons, glitter, stickers etc. The pages do not have to be numbered or in order. Let your creativity run wild while documenting your life experiences. All supplies provided unless you wish to use 

something special like a photo. We will do our best to print the materials you might need. Ages 13-17. Please register as space is limited.

Tutor Time: Every Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. This is run by a volunteer who is a Rowan University student. She will be here to assist those in need of help in history, English, and basic math skills. 

Muffins with Mom: May 11 at 10:30 a.m. Come out and celebrate mom! Join us for a breakfast of muffins and juice along with doing a fun craft! Please Register.

Glassboro’s Afternoon Readers Book Club: Monday, May 5 at 2 p.m. We’ll be discussing “The Princess of Las Vegas” by Chris Bohjalian. Please feel free to stop in and join our discussion. New members are always welcome.

Crafter’s Corner: Back to Nature Wreath with Elegantly Loraine:  Tuesday, May 20 at 2 p.m. This will be a cardmaking workshop. Each person will create 2 cards and the envelopes are included. The cards are A2 size. You will be stamping your sentiments and garden themed images. All supplies included. This is a Longwood gardens Community Read event. Please register as space is limited.

Quilling Time: Wednesday, May 21 at 11:30 a.m. Quilling is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. This group can be for beginners or experienced quillers who can share their knowledge of the craft. All supplies provided. Please register as space is limited.

Cupcake Decorating with Allison: May 3 at 11 a.m. This program is a cupcake decorating workshop. Allison will talk about decorating basics and teach you how to pipe 2 flowers. All supplies provided. Please register as space is limited.

Chair Yoga with Kristin from Seeds of Love Yoga: May 14 at 1:30 p.m. Are you interested in Yoga but getting down on the floor seems inaccessible? Would you like other options and variations for your own body? This is the perfect class for you. Chair Yoga uses chairs and other props to support you in each pose to empower your practice and you! This class is very accessible and can really be done anywhere. Join in on the FUN! Please register as space is limited.

Learn Computers: Windows: Thursdays, May 8, 15, June 5, 12, 19, 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. Do you feel a little lost or left behind when it comes to computers? Build your confidence as we start at the beginning and take it slow, discussing how to use a modern Windows PC or laptop. Topics include: computer basics, operating systems, programs, finding and opening programs, managing windows, managing apps, file storage, and the start menu. Crafts for All Abilities: Monday, May 12 at 11 a.m. Enjoy a fun and easy project – designed for special needs adults but open to anyone 13 and up. All materials provided. Please register.

Knit & Crochet Club: Thursdays, May 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29 at 1 p.m.Beginners are always welcome and provided with instruction along with the supplies needed to get started. Bring something you are working on or something you would like to discuss.

Memory Preservation Station: Friday, May 2 at 2 p.m. & Tuesday, May 27 at 6 p.m.Preserve your family’s treasured memories with our VHS-to-DVD converter, Slide Film Scanner, and 8mm/Super8 Film Reel Converter by reserving a 2.5 hour time slot in our MakerStudio at the Logan Library.

Gaming Get-Together: Fridays, May 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 at 1 p.m.Get together and play a game with other novices at the library! There is a different game highlighted every week. This is a friendly group, but some experience/knowledge of the game is a plus. Please register, as we have limited sets.

POP of Art!: Tuesday, May 6 at 12 p.m. & Saturday, May 31 at 11:30 a.m. Come join us for this educational and interactive 10-part series, POP of Art. Local artist Loren Dann will educate attendees about the life and artwork of an artist.  The May 6 class will look at Thomas Sarceno and his concept of Atmosphere. The May 31 class will look at Agnes Denes as a Painter.

Buttons! Buttons!: Tuesday, May 6 & Friday, May 23 at 6 p.m.Make yourself and a friend an awesome pinback button! You can draw your own buttons, then wear your art proudly. Everyone gets two free buttons for stopping by during Buttons! Buttons! Please register.

Silhouette & Decal Making Reservation: Thursday, May 8 at 6 p.m. Reserve a 2.5-hour time slot to use the silhouette and vinyl cutter in the Logan MakerStudio. NOTE: To use the silhouette and vinyl cutter you must first complete a certification course. Contact: LoganMakers@gcls.org for more info.

3D Printer Certification: Friday, May 9 at 2 p.m. & Tuesday, May 20 at 6 p.m. Get certified to use our MakerBot Replicator+ 3D printer, and start your own Maker Movement today. Once you’ve completed this 1 hour course, you’ll be able to reserve time to use our 3D Printers at any GCLS location. Please register.

Silhouette & Decal Making Certification: Tuesday, May 13 at 6 p.m. & Friday, May 16 at 2 p.m.Learn to create custom vinyl decals and paper cutouts with our Silhouette Cameo. Once you’ve completed this 1 hour course, you’ll be able to reserve time to use our Silhouette machines at other GCLS locations. Please register.

Saving Your Stuff 101: Tuesday, May 13 at 6:30 p.m.Lindsey Smith from Exhibitsmith will be leading a class for you to learn how to evaluate and take control of your “stuff”.  She will help you explore ways to create safe storage & display environments for your home.  Please register.

Quilting & Sewing Club: Tuesday, May 13 & 27 at 1 p.m. Learn to quilt or sew! Beginners and experienced quilters are welcome, and experienced quilters are free to bring their project and quilt with some new friends.

This month will focus on Summer Safety. We’ll review different local water places and learn about heat and water safety. Sessions will be provided by Melodie Norton with Acenda Health. 

FURever As Friends Reading Program: Thursdays, May 8 and 22 at 6:30 p.m. Read to a therapy dog or cat! All ages. 

Make it Monday: Monday, May 12 at 4:30 p.m. We’ll learn about UV rays and build a sun shelter for a UV-sensitive animal made from beads. Ages 6-12. Registration required.
