SWEDESBORO – Swedesboro Council introduced and approved their 2025 municipal budget at their May 19 meeting. The budget calls for a rate increase from 1.182 to 1.206 per hundred of assessed property value.
Swedesboro’s average assessed home of $173,205 would see an increase of $42.05 on their municipal tax. This year’s total budget is an increase of 2.06 percent over last year’s budget.
According to Swedesboro Mayor Tom Fromm, increases in healthcare and contracted pay increases were the main reasons for the small increase.
