SWEDESBORO’S annual Memorial Day Ceremony was held outside of Swedesboro Borough Hall on a sunny May 26. The names of all the area residents that sacrificed their lives in wars, from the Revolutionary War up to the Middle East Wars, were named individually and a flag was placed in a basket for each person. Veterans who attended the ceremony were given a flower and challenge coin in honor of their service. The event is sponsored by the Greater Swedesboro Business Association. Members of the Boy Scout Troop #13 took part in the service.
