SPIRITUAL GROWTH WORKSHOP

CLARKSBORO — Evangelical United Methodist Church is hosting a summer workshop entitled “How to Use the Bible for Spiritual Growth”. This 5-session workshop is designed for those who are just beginning to learn about the Bible or want to refresh their basic knowledge.

Each interactive session will help you discover what makes the Bible different than any other book and how to use it in a meaningful way to strengthen your relationship with God.

You’ll learn this and more.

  • How the Bible is organized
  • How to choose the format and version that work best for you
  • Key characters and themes
  • Where to begin and how to use the “saturation concept” for retention
  • What commentaries and concordances are, how they work, and if or how you want to use them
  • Methods you can use to retain and grow spiritually based on your personality and interests

These one-hour sessions are designed to build on each other weekly. Join in Wednesdays from July 9 to Aug. 6 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Community Room at the church, taught by Rev. Shirley Goodman, pastor.

The workshop is free and open to the public. Join in for the conversation as we learn how to open the Bible like never before. Evangelical UMC is handicap accessible and has ample free parking. Call 856-423-0289 or visit www.eumc.church for more information
