Swedesboro Budget Calls for Tax Increase

SWEDESBORO – Swedesboro’s 2026 budget as introduced, will call for an increase of 2.9 cents per $100 assessed property value in the borough.

This would mean that a property valued at $175,120 would see an increase of $50.96 in local purpose tax.

According to Swedesboro Clerk Lois Yarrington, there are no major projects in this budget but include funding for smaller projects such as paving the library parking lot and adding permanent speed bumps on Franklin Street.

The budget was introduced at their May 4 meeting, and the public hearing before final adoption will take place on June 15.
