East Greenwich Seniors Club Activities

The East Greenwich Senior Citizen Committee offers a range of regular and special activities for residents over age 55 to build friendships and foster community involvement.

Meetings and Volunteer Opportunities

  • Monthly meetings: First Thursday, 10 a.m., East Greenwich Municipal Building, 159 Democrat Road, Mickleton.  Our next meeting is on July 2.
  • New members and volunteers are always welcome to help plan events and promote programs.
  • Contact: seniors@eastgreenwichnj.com for questions, volunteering, or ideas for new activities.

Ongoing Programs

  • Senior Game Days: These days have been cancelled for the summer due to

lack of participation.  We are looking to restructure the idea in the fall.  Look for information about that in September.

  • Coffee and Perks: We started a new format for our Coffee Meetups. We are having a guest speaker each meeting. On June 16, we had Cory Kross, owner of Bodo Otto House, who spoke about the interesting history of the property. All enjoyed hearing the story behind the house. Next month, we will have a different speaker as we have a variety of speakers planned for the months to come. Please sign up for the Eblasts to find out who will be there each month.

Remember, we meet the third Tuesday of the month, 9:30–11 a.m. at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 14W Cohawkin Rd., Clarksboro. It is a casual gathering with complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and snacks. Next meet up: July 21. Come out and bring a friend.

  • Men’s Breakfast Club: Second Thursday, 9 a.m. at Swedesboro Diner (Kings Highway, Swedesboro). Each pay for their own meal. Next date: July 9
  • Art Club: Mondays: 1-4 p.m. at EU Methodist Church, 14 W Cohawkin Road. We welcome anyone interested in art, crafts, and creative projects; bring your own supplies. No fees or formal instruction. For art club details, contact egartclub@yahoo.com
