The East Greenwich Senior Citizen Committee offers a range of regular and special activities for residents over 55 to build friendships and foster community involvement.
Meetings & Volunteer Opportunities
Monthly meetings are the first Thursday, 10 a.m. in the East Greenwich Municipal Building, 159 Democrat Road, Mickleton. The next meeting is on Aug. 6.
New members and volunteers are always welcome to help plan events and promote programs.

Ongoing Programs
Senior Game Days: These days have been cancelled for the summer due to lack of participation. We are looking to restructure the idea in the fall. Look for information about that in September.
Coffee and Perks: We started a new format for our Coffee Meetups. We are having a guest speaker each meeting. In June, we had Cory Kross, owner of Bodo Otto House. In July, we had a local Author, Daniel Yulo.
On Aug.18, we are having a certified vet tech with multiple animal training credentials talking about pets, vets and seniors! Please sign up for the Eblasts to find out who will be there each month.
Remember, we meet the third Tuesday of the month from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 14W. Cohawkin Road, Clarksboro. It is a casual gathering with complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and snacks.
Men’s Breakfast Club: second Thursday, 9 a.m. at Swedesboro Diner on Kings Highway in Swedesboro. Each pays for their own meal. Next date is Aug. 13.
Art Club: Mondays: 1 to 4 p.m. at EU Methodist Church, 14 W. Cohawkin Road. We welcome anyone interested in art, crafts, and creative projects. Bring your own supplies. There are no fees or formal instruction.

Special Events and Services
Our Craft Class in June on learning how to decoupage shells was so well received that we are planning a Decoupage Day in early August. Keep an eye out for the eblast about details for that in the next few weeks.
