passMORE DANCE take top honors in Beyond the Stars National Finals

SWEDESBORO — passMORE DANCE competed in the Beyond the Stars National Finals in the Poconos in July, taking top honors. The groups shone with three being selected to participate in the Ultimate Challenge  and one in the Ultimate Production Challenge.

Michael Mallozzi and Lauren Perry were National Champions for their duet, “Friends” and both place din the top ten for solos. With their “We Didn’t Start the Fire”, they finished 4th in the Ultimate Challenge.

The junior tap group, “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” placed first overall in their category, seventh overall, and fourth in the Ultimate Challenge. Dancers were Ava Black, Michael Mallozzi, Kathryn Milligan, and Lauren Perry.

The teen large group, “Sky Full of Stars,” placed first in their category, sixth overall, and received the Ultimate Technique Award.  Dancers included Madison Betsill, Ava Black, Owen Boskey, Elli and Emmi Caunitis, Destiney Lewis, Micheal Mallozzi, Scott Milligan, Lauren Perry, Christina Pizzo, and Mackenzie Rattigan.

The production, “Peter Pan,” received the “Kooky Characters” award, fourth overall production, and fifth overall in Line-Production Challenge. All of the company members are in this number:  Jaysen Bechtold, Madison Betsill, Ava Black, Owen and Tyler Boskey, Elli and Emmi Caunitis, Gabe and Makayla Delgado, Lilybelle Fling, Sejal Jain, Destiney Lewis, Micheal Mallozzi, Madison Meyers, Kathryn and Scott Milligan, Ricki Morris, Yasly Nunez, Madalyn Oliveri,   Jillian Olsen, Libby Parker, Lauren Perry, Christina Pizzo, Reese Polk, Kiersten Powell, Braylee Queen, Mackenzie Rattigan,  Eva Soroka, Jadelynn Stoffyn, Trinity Touzet, and Sarah Wilder.

The 6 and under group, “Mambo #5” won the national championship and the Cool Cats Award.  Dancers are Emily Aitken, Gabe Delgado, Reese Polk, Eva Soroka, and Trinity Touzet. “Made for Now” dancers, Madison Betsill, Owen Boskey, Destiney Lewis, Scott Milligan, Christina Pizzo, and Kiersten Powell received the Ultimate Entertainment Award. “Medicine,” also competed in the Ultimate Challenge (Madison Betsill, Elli and Emmi Caunitis, Yasly Nunez, and Mackenzie Rattigan).

passMORE had three national championships in the duet category. Trinity and Gabe were the 6 and under Rising Star champions with their hip hop duet, “Dynamic Duo.” Madalyn and Jadelynn were the 7-9 Rising Star champions with their hip hop duet, “Applause.”

Michael and Lauren’s national championship was in the All-Star 10-12 duet division, with their tap duet, “Friends.”  They also received the Rhythm Masters special award.

“Runaway Baby,” consisting of Owen Boskey and Madison Betsill, received the Fabulous Facials special award.

The soloists were also very successful. Yasly won a judge’s award for her solo, and was also a finalist in the 13 and over Hip Hop Battle.  Owen received the Entertainment Stand-Out Award.

National Champion 7-9 year old Rising Star Duet, Madalyn Oliveri and Jadelynn Stoffyn.

Michael was second overall in the All –Star Junior Division, and received Mr. Junior Beyond the Stars and his number received a Chroeography Stand-Out Award. Lauren was tenth Overall Jr. All Star Solo, and third Runner Up Jr. Miss Beyond the Stars.

Jaysen won the Awesome Attack Special Award. Scott won the Electric Energy Special Award.  Gabe was the 6 and under Rising Star National Champion, and also received the Smooth Style Special Award.
