Oct. 1: Officers responded to an Old Orchard residence for a Criminal Mischief report. Officers were advised that at two separate times overnight, someone slashed several of their vehicle’s tires. Value is estimated at over $1000.
Oct. 3: Officers responded to Greenyard on Pedricktown Rd for a Theft report. The victim advised that someone entered her unlocked locker and removed an Acer laptop (value $600) and $250 in cash.
Oct. 4: Officers were dispatched to Taylor Farms on Heron Dr. for a fight. Investigation revealed that two employees were arguing when one assaulted the other. This resulted in a 19-year-old from Philadelphia being charged with Simple Assault and released pending court.
Oct. 6: Officers responded to McDonald’s on Center Square Rd. for a suspicious motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers observed an unconscious female in the driver seat with a hypodermic needle on her lap. Officers gained access to the female, administered Narcan, and the female was transported to the hospital for further treatment. Once released, the 47-year-old Salem woman was placed under arrest. She was charged with Possession of CDS (Heroin), Possession of Prescription Pills, and Possession of a Hypodermic Needle. She was then lodged in Salem County Jail.
Oct. 10: Officers were dispatched to UPS on Birch Creek Rd. for a possible overdose. During the incident, officers located several packages of Heroin on the suspect. The suspect refused any medical treatment and was subsequently charged with Possession of Heroin. The 34-year-old male from Wilmington, DE was processed and released on a summons.
Oct. 13: Officers attempted to stop a motor vehicle on Rt. 130. The driver of the vehicle ignored officers and continued into Salem County. Given safety reasons, officers stopped pursuing the vehicle. On Oct. 17, Officers were able to identify the driver and complaints have been signed, pending service.
Oct. 14: Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Commerce Blvd. During the stop, officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. A search of the interior led to more paraphernalia and Marijuana being located. The 24-year-old male from Woodlynne, NJ was arrested, processed and released for Possession of Marijuana.
Oct. 15: Officers responded to Mark IV Transportation on Veteran’s Dr. for a Theft report. Through investigation, it was learned that an employee removed several boxes from the facility. The 33-year-old male from Philadelphia was arrested and charged with Theft. He was processed and released on a summons.
Oct. 18: Officers were dispatched to Amazon on Center Square Rd. for a suspicious package. It was reported to officers that someone wrote on the package, indicating it was a bomb. Once the facility was evacuated, the Bomb Unit from the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Dept. responded and rendered the scene safe. The incident is still being investigated.
Oct. 19: Officers observed a suspicious vehicle at Infinity on Center Square Rd. While investigating the vehicle, it was learned that the occupants were stealing product from the facility. Both individuals, a 30-year-old male from Gloucester City and a 43-year-old male from Newfield were charged with Trespassing and Theft. They were processed and released on a summons. The product was returned to the company.
Oct. 23: Officers responded to the Hampton Inn on Pureland Dr. for an unconscious person in a motor vehicle. After administering Narcan, and through investigation, officers arrested the occupant for Driving Under the Influence. Joshua Bevis, a 34-year-old male from Woodstown, was processed and released to a family member with a pending court date.
Oct. 24: Officers responded to Pedricktown Rd. near Salem County for a suspicious person report. Officers located the person in a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. Officers observed Heroin and a needle in the driver’s hand. Officers administered Narcan and continued their investigation. Officers recognized the driver as Joshua Bevis, the same driver as the previous day. After the investigation, he was charged with Possession of Heroin and Driving Under the Influence. After processing, he was lodged in the Salem County Jail.
Oct. 26: Officers responded to the Nortonville area for a Theft report. It was reported that someone entered the property and stole a refrigerator from outside the property, valued at $150.
Oct. 26: Officers responded to Oak Grove Rd. for a motor vehicle crash. While conducting their investigation, they charged the 60-year-old Swedesboro man with Driving Under the Influence. He was turned over to medical staff for treatment.
Oct. 27: Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Rt 322. While officers investigated the crash, they suspected the driver to be under the influence. After performing field sobriety tests, officers arrested the 22-year-old New Castle, DE, man for Driving Under the Influence. He was processed and released pending court.
Oct. 29: Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Beckett Rd. Investigation into the identity of the driver led officers to arrest the 37-year-old male from Mantua for an outstanding NCIC warrant. He was processed and turned over to the Salem County Jail.
